LatAm world's second fastest LTE growth region - study

Total LTE connections in Latin America and the Caribbean grew 268 percent year-on-year to 69 million at the end of the first quarter, converting it into the world's second-fastest LTE growth region behind Central and Southern Asia. The latest report by Ovum for industry association 5G Americas revealed that 77 commercial LTE networks had been deployed in 30 Latin American countries at the end of the quarter, including 2 LTE-Advanced networks. HSPA connections also continued to increase, by 47 million, to 332 million at the end of March.
