Lebanese govt maintains cooperation with Huawei, plans tender for 2 new mobile providers

Lebanese telecommunication minister Mohamad Choucair says recent US moves against Huawei will not affect Lebanon's cooperation with the Chinese firm, Xinhua reported. Choucair said Huawei is now involved in several telecom projects in Lebanon, including fibre-optics and 5G. According to Choucair, the fibre project will be operational in Lebanon in two years and involves various multinational companies, including Huawei.
