Lenovo disables Superfish software after security concerns

Lenovo said it stopped adding the Superfish application to its consumer laptops in January, following reports of potential security risks. Lenovo said the pre-installed software was intended to "enhance the shopping experience", but it did not live up to expectations and the company received customer complaints about the software. Lenovo said it stopped installing the software in January and has disabled the server connection to activate the software.
