Lenovo opens smartphone manufacturing plant in Indonesia

China's Lenovo has started to manufacture its smartphones in Serang, Banten, Indonesia. The move is designed to reduce the supply chain and comply with local content requirements, The Jakarta Post reports. The factory is a joint project between Lenovo Indonesia and Serang-based electronics component manufacturer Tridharma Kencana (TDK).
