Lenovo quarterly revenues increase 35%

Lenovo reported revenues up 35 percent year-on-year to USD 8 billion in its fiscal first quarter, while net profit for the three months to June rose 30 percent to USD 141 million. The company claimed a record share of 15 percent of the global PC market, after its computer shipments rose 24.4 percent versus a year earlier in a market otherwise down 2 percent. Lenovo reported double-digit sales growth in all regions, while its home market China remained the largest, with sales up 24 percent year-on-year to USD 3.5 billion. Laptops accounted for 53 percent of group revenues and increased sales
