Lenovo starts orders for new Motorola Razr, ThinkPad foldable devices

The new 5G version of the Motorola Razr foldable smartphone is going on sale in the US. Lenovo also started taking orders for its first foldable PC, the ThinkPad X1 Fold, which will ship in a few weeks.

The new Razr, first announced earlier this month, will go on sale in the US from 02 October. It will be available for a limited time at USD 200 off the recommended price, at USD 1,200. AT&T and T-Mobile US will carry the device, as well as certain retailers.

T-Mobile said it's offering the 5G phone half off with 24 monthly bill credits for customers who activate a new line and trade-in an eligible device. Existing customers can get USD 400 off the price of the phone, paid out in 24 bill credits, with an eligible trade-in.

AT&T has a similar limited-time offer for new customers to get up to USD 700 off the device by bringing their number to AT&T. Existing customers get up to USD 400 off by adding a line or up to USD 300 off by upgrading their device.

The new ThinkPad was first previewed at CES in January and offers a foldable display that can be used both in a classic laptop set-up and as a small or large tablet display. It starts at USD 2,499 and will ship in North America, Europe and several Asian markets.
