Lenovo unveils AR glasses, OLED laptop at CES 2021

Lenovo has taken advantage of its appearance at CES 2021 to continue unveiling new devices, this time introducing a new pair of business-oriented smart glasses and the latest Yoga Slim-branded laptop, among other devices. The new ThinkReality A3 smart glasses are designed to “transform work across many levels" by enabling customised virtual monitors, 3D visualisation, Augmented Reality (AR) assisted workflows and immersive training, said Lenovo. The glasses tether to a PC or select Motorola smartphones via a USB-C cable depending on the needs of smart workers and are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR1 platform.

Additional features include stereoscopic 1080p displays presenting the user with up to 5 virtual displays, an 8MP RGB with 1080p video for remote expert use cases plues dual fish-eye cameras for room-scale tracking. The industrial edition of the glasses can be used for scenarios in factory floors, laboratories as well as busy retail and hospitality spaces, added the Chinese company.  

Lenovo also introduced a new Yoga Slim 7i Pro laptop with a choice of an LCD or OLED display. The OLED version has a 14-inch OLED 90Hz panel by Samsung with the latest 11th Gen Intel Core mobile processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics, or up to NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete graphics. The laptop is the first from the Lenovo Yoga line to offer consumers an immersive OLED display, with pricing and availability to be announced at a later date.
