As with its predecessor, the new phone will be available exclusively with Verizon in the US, from this summer, in a choice of lunar gray and fine gold colours. It will launch later in the summer on Motorola.com for USD 499. The phone launches first in Brazil, for BRL 1,999 from 01 June, and will be available globally later this month. The new Moto Mods will launch later this summer, costing USD 40-80.

The new Moto Mods which snap onto the phone include the Moto GamePad, with dual control sticks, D-pad, four action buttons and a 1035mAh. The JBL sound bar has also been upgraded to the SoundBoost 2, promising 10 hours of playback as well as a water-repellant coating and accompanying control app. Users can also add the Moto TurboPower Pack, with fast charging up to 15W, or a Moto Style Shell with wireless charging up to 10W.
