Motorola launches new G, E range smartphones for mid market

Motorola has unveiled a new generation of Moto G and E smartphones for the low to mid-range market. The Android 8 phones will launch first in its biggest markets in Latin America before gradually reaching the US, Europe and elsewhere. 

The Moto G6 range includes the standard model with a 5.7-inch full HD screen and 3D glass back as well as dual rear 5MP and 12MP cameras and a fingerprint reader. It's available now in Brazil and next week in Mexico and will roll out over the coming months in various countries in Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America for a recommended price of USD 249. 

Also in the new range is the Moto G6 Play for USD 199, also launching first in Brazil and Mexico. It boasts a 4,000 mAh battery and 1.4 GHz processor with a 5.7-inch display with 720p resolution. At the higher end of the range of the G6 Plus, with a larger 5.9-inch screen with 18:9 ratio, advanced camera software with AR features and f/1.7 aperture for low-light shots. It will sell for EUR 299. 

The E range targets the lower end of the market, with the 5.7-inch E5 at EUR 149, 6.0-inch E5 Plus at EUR 169 and the 5.2-inch E5 Play for an undisclosed price. The Play model is destined for North America, while the E5 and E5 Plus will launch in Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America.
