Leti coordinates '5G Champion' project for Winter Olympics

French research institute Leti, part of the R&D organisation CEA Tech, has announced that it is acting as the coordinator among the EU consortium participating in the '5G Champion' project, which aims to showcase 5G technologies at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, Korea. The EU/South Korean project groups 21 members overall, consisting of eight European and thirteen Korean partners. Their aim is to build a prototype 5G network using a multi-radio access architecture.
