Levira offers EU licences to TV broadcasters as Brexit would make UK ones invalid

Wednesday 28 March 2018 | 12:53 CET | News
Estonian digital services provider Levira will target international television broadcasters who need to acquire operating licences for the EU market, supposing Brexit takes effect and UK licences become void. Firms now operating under the UK's Ofcom licences to air television channels in the EU market might be at risk if Brexit goes ahead and the UK leaves the EU. Ofcom is currently the leading issuer of broadcasting licences in the EU and analysts think over 1,000 stations will have to acquire a new EU licence.
