LG has announced the Optimus L SeriesII of smartphones ahead of its launch at the Mobile World Congress. It comprises the L3II with a 3.2-in screen, the L5II with a 4-in screen and the L7II with a 4.3-in display. The Optimus L SeriesII adds four design elements to the first L Series handsets, which sold over 10 million units in the first 10 months. The additions are a seamless layout, laser cut contour, radiant rear design and smart LED lighting on the home button.
Products in the second-generation L Series also offer LG features such as QuickMemo (writing quick notes with the fingertip), Quik Button to personalise a hotkey for various functions, and Safety Care, which can be programmed to contact someone in case of emergency. New features include a high-resolution IPS deplay and extended capacity battery.
The dual-Sim version of the Optimus L7II will be the first in the series to become available. It is being released in Russia during the week of 12 February. The L7II features a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8225 processor, 768MB or RAM, up to 4GB of memory, a 4.3-in WVGA IPS display, 8MP camera with LED flash, front VGA and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
