LG sells over 10 mln smartphones in Optimus L series
LG Electronics announced that sales of its Optimus L-Series smartphones have exceeded 10 million units. The series, including the Optimus L3 (3.2-inch display), L5 (4.0-inch) and L7 (4.3-inch), was first introduced at the Mobile World Congress in February, and LG more recently added the L9 (4.7-inch). All four models are now available in over 50 countries worldwide.

LG posts Q4 loss on fine; mobile sales improve

LG Electronics reported a net loss of KRW 468 billion (USD 429 million) for the fourth quarter, hurt by a fine over CRT pricing from the EU. Revenues were down 2.2 percent from a year earlier to KRW 13.50 trillion, as growth in mobile phones was offset by weaker sales of consumer electronics and appliances. LG Electronics returns to profit in Q3

LG Electronics reported a small improvement in results at its mobile phone business in the third quarter, restoring the activities to an operating profit of KRW 21 billion. LG Electronics has reached a new milestone with global sales of five million LTE smartphones to date. After reaching sales of four million LTE smartphones last month, an additional one million smartphones were sold in the month of July.
