LG sells 5 mln LTE smartphones
LG Electronics has reached a new milestone with global sales of five million LTE smartphones to date. After reaching sales of four million LTE smartphones last month, an additional one million smartphones were sold in the month of July. Currently, more than ten LG LTE smartphones are available in countries where LTE service is available, including Korea, US, Japan, and select markets in Europe and Asia. The Optimus LTE is the most popular LTE smartphone from LG with 2 million in sales.

LG lanceert high-end Optimus G

LG heeft deze week een high-end smartphone gelanceerd. De Optimus G beschikt onder meer over een 13 megapixel camera, een 4.7 inch display en een Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Het toestel zal in eerste instantie worden verkocht in Zuid-Korea en in later stadium de Verenigde Staten en Japan. In Zuid-Korea bedraagt de prijs omgerekend ongeveer 900 euro.

LG breidt L-Style serie uit met Optimus L9

LG introduceert de LG Optimus L9, een nieuwe aanvulling op de L-Style serie. Eerder dit jaar werden de Optimus L7, L5 en L3 al gelanceerd. De Optimus L9 beschikt onder meer over een 4.7-inch IPS display, een 1GHz dual core processor en een 5 megapixel camera. Het besturingssysteem is Android Ice Cream Sandwich (v4.0). Verder zijn diverse functies ingebouwd waaronder Voice Shutter waarmee foto's kunnen worden gemaakt op basis van spraakcommando's.

LG Electronics unveiled its new quad-core smartphone, the Optimus G. The company said this will be the first LTE device featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and lay the foundation for its future premium smartphones.
