LG profit slides 19% in Q1 but shows sequential improvement

LG Electronics has reported its preliminary results for the first quarter, with revenues going 1.4 percent lower to KRW 14.9 trillion and the operating profit sliding 18.8 percent to KRW 899.6 billion. On a quarterly basis, revenues were off from the KRW 15.77 trillion recorded in the fourth quarter, but the operating profit improved significantly from KRW 75.7 million. Results in Q4 were hit by widening losses at LG's mobile operations.
