LG Q2 results fall on Covid-19 impact, mobile sales recover versus Q1

LG Electronics reported second-quarter sales down 17.9 percent year-on-year to KRW 12.83 trillion, with revenues down across all its divisions due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Operating profit fell 24.1 percent to KRW 495 billion, and net profit dropped to KRW 66 billion from KRW 106 billion a year earlier. At the mobile business, LG saw improvement compared to Q1 as supply chains stabilised and stores started to reopen late in the quarter.
