LG, Qualcomm open V2X research lab in Seoul

LG has signed an agreement with US chipmaker Qualcomm to expand research on self-driving automobile parts. Under the terms of the agreement, LG and Qualcomm have opened a join research lab for cellular vehicle-to-everything (C-V2X) technology in Seoul. The two companies also plan to open another research center in South Korea by year-end. LG Electronics plans to combine its connected automobile parts technologies with Qualcomm's telecommunications chips to power self-driving car components.
