LG to release Nexus phone on 29 October - report

LG will make the fourth version of the Google Nexus, writes Le Figaro without citing its sources. The French newspaper reports that the smartphone's global launch announcement will be made on 29 October. It will be released in France at the start of December, reportedly through mobile operator SFR. Le Figaro also cites website MoDaco as stating that the new Google phone is based on the LG Optimus G and is expected to come with an updated Android release, HD display, 8 megapixel camera, quad-core Qualcomm S4 processor, 2 MB of RAM, no micro SD slot, a non-removable battery and built-in wireless charging. LG's Nexus follows on the HTC-made Nexus One (2010), and the Samsung-made Nexus S (2011) and Galaxy Nexus (2012).
