Google unveils Nexus 4 smartphone, adds 10-inch Nexus tablet
Google and LG Electronics have confirmed the launch next month of the Nexus 4, the new flagship Android smartphone. Running the latest version of the operating system, Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), the phone features a 4.7-inch IPS Plus screen with curved glass, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, 2,100 mAh battery, HSPA+ broadband, wireless charging and NFC. 

The 8 megapixel camera comes with the new Photo Sphere feature, allowing users to up- or down-size photos, create panorama shots and instantly upload pictures to Google+ or Google Maps. Other new features of the Android OS include Gesture Typing, a Swype-like feature to simplify typing by gliding the fingers over the letters, and support for wireless display of content from the phone on Miracast devices such as TVs. 

The Nexus 4 will be available in 8GB and 16GB versions on Google Play from 13 November in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Australia. Offline availability in Europe, Central/South Americas, Asia, CIS and the Middle East will begin from the end of November. T-Mobile USA will offer the 16GB model for USD 199 with a two-year contract. 

Google also announced an expansion of the Nexus 7 tablet line to add more storage and HSPA+. The model with 16GB will cost USD 199, 32GB is priced at USD 249, and an HSPA+ version with 32GB will sell for USD 299. The tablets are for sale on Google Play in the US, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan and also through retail partners such as Gamestop, Office Depot, Office Max, Staple and Walmart. 

A new Nexus 10 was also developed with Samsung, claiming the highest resolution screen in the tablet market at 2560x1600. It  boasts up to nine hours of video playback, comes with front-facing stereo speakers and supports multiple user profiles with the new Android 4.2 OS. The Nexus 10 will be available with 16GB for USD 399 and 32GB for USD 499 from 13 November on Google Play in the US, UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Canada and Japan.
