Google Nexus 7 sales near 1 mln a month - Asus

Wednesday 31 October 2012 | 14:14 CET | News
Sales of Google's Nexus 7, made by Asustek Computer, are closing in on 1 million units a month, the Taiwanese maker revealed. "At the beginning, it was, for instance, 500K units a month, then maybe 600, 700K. This latest month, it was close to 1 million," Asustek CFO David Chang said on a conference call on quarterly results, the Wall Street Journal reports. Google announced this week new lower prices for the tablet and new models, including a 10-inch version. Google spokeswoman Caroline Hsu said the company has not released sales figures for the Nexus 7.
