LG Uplus, Kakao Mobility to develop 5G services for transportation sector

South Korean mobile operator LG Uplus has signed a memorandum of understanding with Kakao Mobility, to establish an autonomous driving environment and develop 5G-based services for the transportation and traffic sector, The Korea Times reports, citing Choi Soon-jong, head of the corporate infrastructure business group at LG Uplus. To this end, LG Uplus and Kakao Mobility plan to set up a joint task force this month.
