LG Uplus to acquire Huawei equipment for 5G network deployment

LG Uplus has decided to buy 5G network equipment from Huawei for its latest mobile services, despite security concerns surrounding products made by the Chinese company, The Korea Times reports, citing Uplus vice-chairman Kwon Young-soo. The statement was made on the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Shanghai. "Huawei's equipment seems highly efficient, while that of Samsung Electronics and Nokia is similar", he said.
