Liberty Global posts organic sales up 3% in Q2

Cable operator Liberty Global reported second-quarter revenues up 51 percent from a year earlier to USD 4.6 billion, driven by its takeover of Virgin Media and positive currency effects. Operating cash flow increased 49 percent to USD 2.1 billion, while the net loss widened to USD 250 million due to losses on financial instruments. On an organic basis, revenues rose 3 percent and OCF was up 6 percent, led by customer growth mainly in Germany and lower mobile losses at the Chile business VTR.
