Liberty Global reviews media planning across Europe

Liberty Global has launched a pan-European review of its media planning and buying division, with a view towards consolidating media operations into one business, the Guardian reported. The division, worth over GBP 100 million, is responsible for purchasing TV slots and print space. The review follows the acquisition of Virgin Media last year and is part of a rationalisation of business operations. Virgin Media is Liberty Global's biggest ad spender, with a budget of as much as GBP 75 million, with media planning and buying handled by MG OMD since 2007. Liberty Global said it now wants to
