Liberty Global says Dutch JV plans unaffected by Brexit

The UK's exit from the EU should not impact Liberty Global's planned joint venture with Vodafone in the Netherlands, Liberty CEO Mike Fries said. Speaking to Reuters on the sidelines of the Cable Congress, Fries said the competition review of the 50-50 joint venture between the company's local unit Ziggo and Vodafone Netherlands by the European Commission "should not be impacted by Brexit". He added that the UK's exit from the EU "has no immediate impact on our business and it has not reduced our appetite or interest in Europe". Fries called the Dutch deal a "one-off transaction" and said
