Liberty Global shows new Connect Box modem at IBC

Liberty Global has shown at IBC a new cable modem called the Connect Box. The device will be offered at its subsidiaries Telenet (Belgium), Ziggo (Netherlands) and Virgin Media (UK), as well as other units of Liberty Global in Europe. The Connect Box features four Ethernet ports, two phone lines and Wi-Fi, but the company did not provide further information on the exact specifications. It is expected to support Docsis 3.0 as well as Docsis 3.1, offering increased broadband speeds.
