Liberty Latin America sales down 8% in Q3, customers up 2%

Liberty Latin America (LLA) reported revenues of USD 888 million for the third quarter of 2020, down 8.2 percent from the same period a year earlier but an improvement on the 13.6 percent decline posted in the second quarter. The company said it was strongly impacted by the ongoing effects on its business of the Covid-19 pandemic, particulars at its Cable & Wireless (CWC) unit, as well as a net negative foreign exchange impact of USD 32 million, offset by record additions of 66,000 RGUs and return to mobile net additions. LLA posted an operating profit of USD 87 million for the third quarter
