Liquid Telecom takes over Nakuru free Wi-Fi contract

Liquid Telecom has taken over a contract from Orange Kenya to connect residents in the town of Nakuru with free Wi-Fi, Business Daily reported.. The company has redesigned the Wi-Fi network and installed new equipment at a cost of USD 400,000 to serve over 1.6 million residents of the Rift Valley town. Business Daily reported. The free internet is set to run at up to 1 Gbps and is expected to spur development in the county, by putting businesses online and connecting campuses.
