Live TV accounts for 69% of UK TV viewing - Ofcom

New research from Ofcom shows that for all UK adults, 69 percent of TV viewing is to live TV, down from 92 percent in first-half 2010. However, the share of viewing to live TV among 16-24s drops to 50 percent, and to 61 percent for 25-34s. DVR viewing is still the largest form of non-live viewing, at 10 percent of the total in 2014, but the estimated amount of viewing by DVR has been flat since 2011. This means that the key driver of future non-live growth is likely to come from VoD services, accessible across multiple devices. This viewing accounted for 6 percent of all viewing in the H1
