Low-end smartphones dominate Spanish market

Monday 6 January 2014 | 11:25 CET | News
Although Spain continues to boast one of the highest smartphone penetration rates in Europe, around 84 percent of the handsets sold in 2013 cost less than EUR 250, reports Movilzona. According to the figures, almost 12 million of the nearly 14 million smartphones sold were low-end models (EUR 0-250), with mid-range handsets (EUR 250-350) accounting for 5.3 percent of the market and high-end smartphones (up to EUR 650) obtaining a 10.2 percent market share.
