LTE rollout to peak next year, driven by China, US - study

The rollout of plain LTE was virtually unchanged in the third quarter from the second, according to the latest study by Infonetics. The LTE market is now expected to peak in 2015, boosted by companies shifting LTE investment earmarked for next year to this year. Nokia Networks moved into the first spot for LTE revenue, propelled by strong performances in the US and China. China is in the lead in terms of LTE rollout, but the rest of the world is also moving fast, with 331 commercial networks launched as of September. Operators are currently spending around USD 5.6 billion per quarter on LTE,
