LTE services live in 107 countries, LTE-A in seven

Commercial LTE services have been launched on 300 networks in 107 countries as of June, having added 109 networks in the last 12 months, according to 4G Americas. The trade body expects the number of commercial LTE networks to reach 350 by the end of the year. There were 277.6 million LTE subscribers worldwide at the end of May, based on Informa Telecoms & Media estimates. The US and Canada accounted for 45 percent of the total (125.8 mln), followed by Asia Pacific with 37 percent (103.6 mln) and Europe with 14 percent (39.8 mln).
