Lyse encourages local campaign groups to support broadband expansion in Rogaland county

Norwegian energy and telecommunications provider Lyse is encouraging concerted efforts to extend broadband in Rogaland county. It said coverage there is 89 percent, the highest rate in Norway, but it wants to extend fibre to places outside commercial development areas. Lyse Fiber CEO Tor Morten Osmundsen said Lyse's aim is universal fibre provision within the next two to three years.
