M1, Huawei demo 1 Gbps upload, 130 Mbps download speeds

Huawei and Singaporean operator M1 have achieved 4G peak download speeds of more than 1 Gbps, and peak upload speeds of 130 Mbps, Xinhua news agency reports. Carried out in M1's LTE Advanced test lab, the trial used existing commercial hardware infrastructure supplied by Huawei and a prototype Cat 14 device. The trial leveraged the integration of four advanced network technologies: 3CC aggregation, 4x4 MIMO, Higher Order Modulation 256 QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) and 2CC uplink carrier aggregation.
