M2M connections in LatAm to reach nearly 20 mln by end-2014

Machine-to-machine (M2M) connections in Latin America are expected to reach 20 million by the end of this year, according to Ericsson's latest mobility report. According to Ericcson, this figure is expected to grow three times during the 2014, 2020 period. According to the study, the rapid increase of M2M subscriptions is driven by the popularity of the Internet of Things, M2M solutions in different industries and the proliferation of consumer electronics and connected vehicles.
