M2M revenues to hit USD 19 bln by 2014

Revenues from mobile connected M2M and embedded devices will grow to USD 18.9 billion globally by 2014. Consumer and commercial telematics, along with in-vehicle applications will account for over a third of the total, according to a report by Juniper Research. The growth of M2M revenues will also be boosted by mobile connected buildings driven by security needs, and utility metering driven by regulatory initiatives in Europe and economic stimulus funds in the US.
