Madeira signs agreement for new submarine cable

The Regional Government of Madeira has signed a contract for the supply of a submarine cable connection to the continent, worth EUR 13.6 million. The contract was signed between Emacom - Telecomunicacoes da Madeira, a company belonging to the Empresa de Electricidade de Madeira (EEM) and Ellalink Ireland, a subsea communications operator.
