Magyar Telekom expands 5G coverage in Budapest using Ericsson Spectrum Sharing

Magyar Telekom launched 5G services on the 2,100 MHz licences acquired at this spring's frequency auction. According to plans, it will increase the population coverage of its 5G network in Budapest to 30 percent by the end of 2020 using Ericsson Spectrum Sharing. By the end of December, in addition to the currently covered downtown area, the 5G network will be partly available on the Pest side in districts V, VI, VII and VIII and in districts IX, XIII and XIV. in areas closer to the city centre up to Hungaria korut, while on the Buda side certain parts of districts I, II, XI and XII will be
