Magyar Telekom tests wireless-to-the-building with Facebook's Terragraph platform

Magyar Telekom confirmed it is launching a pilot service in cooperation with Deutsche Telekom and Facebook to test a wireless-to-the-building technology based on Facebook's Terragraph platform. Called Virtual Fiber, the technology brings gigabit-speed connections to households via 60 GHz radio frequencies. Facebook's Terragraph equips lightpoles and other street furniture with antennas to provide wireless coverage in cities.
