
Adam Sawicki, CEO of T-Mobile Poland, is resigning as of 31 March and will be replaced by Andreas Maierhofer. The company announced also about other changes in its board.
Frederic Perron will be appointed to the position of board member responsible for the residential market. Elzbieta Wojcik is leaving the board. Wlodzimierz Nowak will become a new board Member responsible for Legal Affairs, Compliance and Security.
Andreas Maierhofer is currently CEO of Makedonski Telekom, the Deutsche Telekom subsidiary in Macedonia. He began his career in 1987 at Telekom Austria and in 1996 became Director of the Billing Collection Department and in 1999 Director Customer Services at Mobilkom Austria. In 2004, he became Chief Operating Officer at Si.mobil Slovenia, where he was responsible for marketing, sales, customer care and HR, and in 2006 he became CEO of the Slovenian operator. Later he continued his international career as Chief Commercial Officer of the Bulgarian operator Mobitel EAD, and in 2009 he became its CEO.
Wlodzimierz Nowak worked at the Polish Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Digitalisation and NATO structures. He has much experience in cyber security, which he gained inter alia as a Director of IT and Telecommunications Department at the Ministry of Defence and as a Director of Cyber-security Department at the Ministry of Digitalisation.
Elzbieta Wojcik, currently the Director for the Residential Market and responsible for marketing communication, brand strategy client service and sales and management of sales channels, is leaving the board of T-Mobile Poland. Frederic Perron will take the position of board member responsible for the residential market at the beginning of May. Perron has held leading positions at telecommunications companies such as T-Mobile UK and Vodafone UK and the Czech Republic. Before joining T-Mobile Poland he worked for Roger Communications, serving the past three years as Vice-President for Customer Management & Loyality.
Makedonski Telekom said the procedure for election and appointment of a new CEO is underway. Maierhofer will lead the company until 1 May, by which time his replacement should be known. He will remain a non-executive member of the board of directors of Makedonski Telekom.
