Telekom Austria names new CEOs in Bulgaria, Serbia
Telekom Austria announced several personnel changes which will take place in the management boards of two of its subsidiaries, from 1 October. Thanasis Katsiroumpas, hitherto CEO of Vip mobile in Serbia, will take over as CEO of Mobiltel in Bulgaria at the beginning of October. Following the departure of Katsiroumpas, Andreas Graf, CFO of Vip mobile in Serbia, is appointed as interim CEO/CMO of the company.

In Katsiroumpas' new capacity, he will also be responsible for the marketing agenda. The management board of the Bulgarian subsidiary will therefore be reduced from four to three members. The CEO of Mobiltel, Andreas Maierhofer, is returning to Austria after 10 years in executive management positions abroad and, therefore, decided not to extend his expiring contract. Since the new CEO Katsiroumpas will have overall responsibility for the marketing agenda, former CMO Martin Lippautz will also leave the company and the Telekom Austria Group at his own request.

According to Bulgarian news agency Novinite, Telekom Austria justified the recent changes made to its senior management of its Bulgarian subsidiary by saying that the country is the most difficult market within the group.
