
Russian internet company Mail.ru Group has invested more than USD 100 million into educational projects, CEO Boris Dobrodeyev said during the conference EdCrunch on Demand. The company's educational ecosystem includes GeekBrains, Skillbox, Algoritmika, Tetrika, Skillfactory and Uchi.ru. Mail.ru plans to train 10 million people by 2023 using its educational resources. The company does not exclude a possible IPO in the sector.
Earlier this week, Mail.ru Group announced an investment into the Uchi Group, Russia's platform within the K-12 e-learning segment. The company will initially acquire a 25 percent stake, with the option to extend the stake in the future.
