Malaysian operators sign Consumer First Pledge to raise service quality

Malaysian operators Celcom Axiata, Digi Telecommunications, Maxis, Telekom Malaysia, Time dotcom, U Mobile and YTL Communications have signed the Consumer First Pledge. According to the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the Pledge marks a significant milestone for the industry as telecom operators announce their commitment to better serve the consumers. Consumer protection will be enhanced through improvements to the General Consumer Code (GCC), which is expected to be in effect by the final quarter of this year.
