
Black Widow, the latest film by Walt Disney Company’s Marvel Studios, made over USD 215 million during its debut weekend. The total includes USD 80 million in domestic box office, USD 78 million in international box office and over USD 60 million from Disney+ Premier Access worldwide. The film is not only the largest domestic box office opening since the virus pandemic began, it had the biggest opening weekend since Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker, in December 2019.
The film is also the highest domestic opening weekend for a Marvel Cinematic Universe origin story since Black Panther and Captain Marvel, Disney said. To date, Marvel fans have streamed nearly 3 billion hours of content on Disney+.
