Masmovil offering FTTH via Telefonica network in 5 provinces

Spanish operator Masmovil has begun offering fibre-optic services via Telefonica's FTTH network in a total of 5 provinces, reports business daily Cinco Dias. Telefonica is required to provide virtual access to non-competitive areas in Spain covering 35 percent of the population, with Masmovil initially offering indirect fibre services via its Masmovil and Yoigo brands to 300,000 homes in Madrid, Guadalajara, Cadiz, Cordoba and Jaen, said the report.
