Masmovil picks first 5 startups for acceleration

Wednesday 12 June 2019 | 14:20 CET | News

Spain’s fourth largest network operator Masmovil has signed up the first projects to its new Masventures startup accelerator. A total of 5 startups have been selected to immediately begin a pilot of their services in real environments of the Masmovil group itself. They include a provider of decentralised cloud storage services called Cubbit, a quality control automation company called Predictive, a SaaS platform providing retail companies with intelligence on their customers called Satya Insights, a system to optimise customer service processes called Schaman and a billing and expense management platform called Teamnet.

Masmovil set up Masventures with Inveready Technology Investment Group earlier this year, announcing that it was mainly seeking “relatively mature” startups with business models and disruptive technologies that are in some way beneficial to the group’s relationship with customers and the market.

The selected projects will now begin an acceleration period in which their services will be tested within Masmovil, with Inveready providing its extensive know-how as a developer of startups. As a final phase, they will then be invited to make an "elevator pitch" to the Masmovil group, Inveready and other potential investors.
