MasterCard hires Orange's head of NFC, e-payments - report

The vice president of France Telecom-Orange's electronic payments and transactions unit, Mung-Ki Woo, has been hired by MasterCard Worldwide, NFC Times reports, stating that he is likely to assume the new post in the coming days. Woo joined France Telecom in 2005 and was involved in some of the first NFC trials worldwide and has directed plans for a deployment in France as well as managing the rollout of the Orange Money mobile P2P funds-transfer and banking service.
