Maxis, Huawei complete 5G trials in Kuala Lumpur

Maxis and Huawei have announced they have conducted 5G trials in selected areas in Kuala Lumpur. The two partners have completed LTE and 5G New Radio trials, using DSS in 1800MHz frequency. Following the launch of their TechCity partnership agreement in January this year, Maxis and Huawei started accelerating their 4G network expansion to prepare for the transition to 5G. Maxis selected key areas in Kuala Lumpur to conduct trials with Huawei, with a focus to increase 4G capacity and user experience, enable 5G deployment, and optimize network resources, all of which will prepare for 5G
