MBC launches new channel MBC5 in North Africa

The Saudi-backed media group MBC said it has launched a new free-to-air satellite TV channel in the Maghreb, according to Rapid TV News. MBC said that the addition of the new channel is a critical part of the company's five-year growth plan to provide premium content tailored for audiences around the world. It said the forthcoming family entertainment channel, MBC5, would enrich North Africa's historical and cultural heritage.
