MCX to test CurrentC m-payments in Columbus - report

Merchant Customer Exchange (MCX), a partnership between large retailers and restaurant chains including Wal-Mart and Target, will run its first public tests of its m-payment application, CurrentC, in Columbus, Ohio, within the coming weeks, people close to MCX told the Wall Street Journal. The move comes three years after MCX decided to enter the m-payment market and as MCX loses exclusivity with its retail partners.
